Hey,
I just wanted to encourage all of you who competing at nationals this week. God has given all of you a wonderful abilty to comunicate and reason, and I want you to remeber that it's all for God's glory.
I Peter 4:11 says "If anyone speaks he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves he should do it with the strength God provides. So that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen."
Go speak with confidence, as one speaking the very words of God.
Secondly, I know that most of you are probably feeling slightly nervous, anxious, or tense. However Hebrews chapter 4 calls us, throught faith, to enter God's rest. This is not just the rest you'll after nationals is over and before Benji starts talking about next year ;bu a mental peace that is obtained when you cast all your anxiety on God. In II Corinthians, Paul begins his letter by wishing his readers "2Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.", then in chapter 6 he describes all these horrid experiences that hes has endured for Christ. If Paul can go through hunger, imprisonments, ect. and still find rest and peace in God; then it's definitly possible for us to find rest and peace during what could be a stressful few weeks of high school.
Have confidence to do your speeches, AC's, Cx's, NC's, AR's, and NC's with the ability that God hac given you. Have peace instead of getting stressed. And remeber that "His devine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who calledus by His own glory and goodness".
Grace and Peace,
Ashley
