Pardon my curiosity...but what? "Arguing fair or foul is all right but..." they shouldn't do it too much? Yes. By the way I love the Garciaparra trade even though Alex Gonzalez was SO cute. (Ha ha you can tell I'm a girl.)

Do you guys know how on earth Nomar Garciaparra got a name like that? His Dad's name was Ramon, so his parents spelled his name backwards to make Nomar. I just heard this on Cubs radio last night and what I thought was really cool was that our other shortstop's name is Ramon.

Yeah, I knew about the Ramon/Nomar thing. Pretty weird actually. I can just picture it now... "Nomar, huh? How'd you get a name like that?" "Oh, it's my dad's name spelled backwards."

If a Chicago team does make it to the World Series this year, somebody has to make a CHARGE Baseball Party! Where everyone comes in to talk and watch the big game...

If we come to this party do we have to only talk about baseball or would we be allowed to talk about other things too? I have a feeling that if I was only allowed to talk about the game I would spend most of the time having Lisa explain things to me.

Lisa: "Nine" David: "Lisa, what city to the Cubs come from?" Lisa: "Chicago!" David: "Help me! I forgot what a pitcher does!" Lisa: "Pitches balls!" David: "How many touchdowns do the Cubs have? Lisa: " "

I did have to tell him what the wildcard is. And I had another friend who had to have me tell him what an RBI is! (So David you're not THAT bad)

I had to tell my sister that their wasn't 10 innings in a game after her friend had told her there was ! Other then that, I'm not positive I know all about a Wildcard, but I do know it's because there's three divisions? in which only team one gets to the World Series so they need another team, but I don't know how they choose it!

The team with the best record other than the three division champs wins the wildcard. They have it kind of tough in the playoffs- they have to play the team with the best overall record unless that team is from their division. Then they play the second-best team. I'm not sure if they are ever allowed to have home-field advantage in a series. P.S. Last year's World Series champs were the wildcard team.

I am wondering, has there ever been a World Series of Wildcards?
