Sox fans, can you please put your comments about the White Sox here so that the Cubs thread can talk about the Cubs? Also I promise to make verging-on-insulting-although-joking ;D comments about the Sox if anyone makes any more about the Cubs. *A meaningful glance at Tori* By the way, I don't know anything about the White Sox roster this year, could somebody fill me in?

Well, since nobody's posted anything, apparently there are no Sox fans in CHARGE. What a relief!

HEY! Baseball is not slow or boring! It's the only sport that actually goes at a decent pace! When you're listening to any sport but baseball on the radio, you can't tell what's going on but in baseball you can and the broadcasters can actually talk about the players and stuff for decent amounts of time in between the play-by-play and another reason baseball isn't boring is that there's a game practically every day during the season instead of just once in a while!! ;D

Well, I realize that no one has posted in here for a while, but I figure I'll take that into my own hands. The White Sox are AWESOME, which leads to the reason I am posting. For all the hype I hear about the Cubs, whether or not people realize it (no offense, Cubs fans...honestly), the Sox have a better record than the Cubs do (they've won 29 while the Cubs have won 27), AND the Sox are first in their division with Minnesota two games back, and the Cubs are 4.5 games behind in their division, putting them in 4th place for their division. Once again, no offense to any of the Cubby fans out there. I believe someone asked for the White Sox roster; so here it is (in alphabetical order): Jon Adkins, Sandy Alomar Jr., Mark Buerhle, Neal Cotts, Joe Crede, Kelly Dransfeldt, Jon Garland, Ross Gload, Willie Harris, Mike Jackson, Billy Koch *spits*, Paul Konerko *applauds*, Carlos Lee, Esteban Loaiza, Domaso Marte, Miguel Olivo, Magglio Ordonez, Timo Perez, Cliff Politte, Aaron Rowand, Scott Schoweneweis, Shingo Takatsu, Frank Thomas, Juan Uribe, and Jose ValentinThat's it for now; see y'all! The Cubs are 4 games back now, and by the end of the day it could be 3.5, depending if Cincinnatti loses. Also, the Cubbies have had a LOT of injuries. Once they get Kerry & Sammy & Grudzielanek and Gonzo back- WHOAH. LOOK OUT. P.S. I've heard that Magglio Ordonez is hurt and can't play in the Cubs/Sox series. *wipes forehead in relief* Although I'm sorry he's hurt, he's good against the Cubbies, so I'd just as soon we don't have to play him.

About your P.S., Magglio Ordonez did have surgery on his leg Saturday and could be out for 4 to 7 weeks I can't believe it! Anyway, with him out, Jose Valentin is going to have to step it up, along with Willie Harris and Aaron Rowand. They are guys who can really do stuff but just aren't doing it. Jose strikes out a lot; Willie Harris has yet to hit a home run this season, and Aaron Rowand is a guy with power who right now is having a hard time getting the ball into the air. With Mags gone, they're going to have to work overtime. Zachary Crockett

I have noticed, along with Zach, that the Sox are doing substantially better than the Cubs

I have noticed, along with Zach, that the Sox are doing substantially better than the Cubs Considering that the Sox have won exactly ONE more game than the Cubbies, I think they just happen to have a notably weaker division. And baseball experts agree that the NL central IS the strongest division. (I'm certainly glad the Sox are doing good, though, I just think they aren't TOO much better than the Cubs.)

(I'd do a quote box here, but I don't know how. Could someone fill me in?) Back to the main topic, if you are in a notably harder division, which, I agree, the Cubs are, than you have to step it up if you want to go on to the playoffs. If you are a baseball player and you are asked why your team isn't doing that good, than you can't respond, "Well, we aren't doing so hot because the other teams in this league are really good." I've heard baseball players say this before and it doesn't make sense. It's just plain weird to blame you team's poor performance on the other teams in the league. I agree, the Sox are in a very weak division, in fact the Twins are tied for first and the nearest team after that is the Indians who are five games behind, but but it is all your performance. Not the other teams in the league. It's up to you to give your team a chance. In the meantime, we [Sox] have drafted a lot of lefties and are going to be a much better team in the near future. And, I, um, am running our of things to say We're playing the Phillies tonight, and we're gonna win! Gosh, that was fun Stay cool, ya'll Zachary Crockett
